Celebrating Ten years of Internet Scout and Looking Ahead to Our Next Ten!Read what our users have to say View the look of Scout over the years Take a look at some of our promotional material from various past projects For the last ten years the Scout Project has been providing the online community with services and software to help users discover and organize high quality Web-based resources. The project has evolved from the mid 1990s when the entire Scout Project was the Scout Report to its present incarnation, which includes various reports, portal projects and open-source software development. Most of our work has been funded by the National Science Foundation, and in particular the National Science Digital Library program for the past four years. We are very excited about our newest NSDL-funded project, the Applied Mathematics and Science Education Repository (AMSER). AMSER is a four-year project that will work to link community and technical colleges to online applied math and science resources via an online portal and complimentary services. On these pages you’ll find quotes from a variety of our users explaining how, why and where they use our resources. You are welcome to submit your own stories or anecdotes that highlight how you've utilized Scout resources. We'd love to hear from you. You'll also find some screenshots of some of our early reports, a series of screenshots showing how the site has changed over the last decade, and some of our early Scout promotional material. Remember, too, that you can search through all the resources we’ve ever reviewed by going to the Scout Archive. Enjoy this virtual trip down memory lane with us and please accept our sincere thanks your readership, encouragement and feedback have helped support and shape our project and kept it going strong for ten years here's to ten more!!! Cheers,Rachael, Ed and the rest of the Internet Scout Project Team |
