Full Project Description:
Cultural Connections Through Cooking is a project designed to compare
similarities and differences of various cultures and societies. This
project integrates many subjects. Through participation students will
learn about other cultures and teach students about their cultures.
Participants from 5th grade classrooms are asked to choose 3 to 5 recipes
unique to their part of the world. In addition, we ask that participants
write a paragraph or two about where they live. Ask your students, "What
do you want the world to know about us?" Consider things such as
employment, entertainment, climate, landscape, government, and school
curriculum. Hopefully, we will learn something new about each other. We
will be setting deadlines for this project. The registration deadline is
Tuesday Februaru 20, 2000. Please send us an e-mail including name, school
name, school address, and e-mail address.
