Dear Fellow Teachers,
This is just a reminder about the School City student journalism
competition. Please note the deadline date for entry submission has been
revised to February 25, 2000.
Encourage your students, grades 6-12, to write about some aspect of the
First Amendment to the US Constitution (e.g. dress codes, censorship in
music lyrics or visual arts, freedom of religion, zero tolerance, flags
flying over government buildings, et al.) Students can be published
online on SchoolCity.com and enter to win great prizes, including a
laptop computer and an all expense paid trip to Youth Vote 2000
Pre-California Primary youth conference at UCLA.
