Happy Valentine's Day, asteroid Eros: This week's episode of Thursday's
Classroom features lesson plans about NASA's Near-Earth Asteroid Rendezvous
(NEAR) mission to 433 Eros. NEAR will enter orbit around the space rock on
Valentine's Day, 2000. Activities include math exercises: "Honey, I Shrunk
the Asteroid" and "Asteroid Angles"; edible asteroid modeling: "Oh Fudge,
it's an Asteroid"; and Valentine Cards from Outer Space.
