Project Title: K - 2 Fairy Tale Quilt

Project Summary:
Each class will chose a favorite fairy tale. After 14 different fairy tales
have been
submitted, planning of the fabric squares will begin. The fabric squares
will represent
the fairy tales. When all are received, you can make your own fairy tale
quilt!

Full Project Description:
My colleague and I share a kindergarten room. We have participated in 2
quilt
projects. We now have a "Bear quilt" and a "Nursery Rhyme quilt". We
would like
14 participants for our Fairy Tale quilt. Each class will chose a favorite
fairy tale, and
make 14 squares representing that fairy tale. This will make our quilt 4 x
4 which
allows for 2 blank squares to put the name of our quilt and the date. After
completing
your fabric squares, you will mail them to the other 13 participants. The
quilt squares
should be made on bleached or unbleached muslin and you are free to chose
any
medium that you want to use. I will send suggestions and further details
after 14
participants have registered. Please send information about your school and
your
school address when you reply. If you would like to see what our 2 quilts

"Student
Projects", then "Kindergarten Quilts". We have already chosen "Jack and the
Beanstalk" as our favorite Fairy Tale. We are finishing up one of our
squares to use
as an example. It will be posted on our website soon.
