Subject: [netsites] Ice Cream

I scream; you scream; we all scream that our ice cream is in someone
else's hands!

Hippydom took a sad turn today as the Hippy Ice Cream makers, Ben and
Jerry, announced that they sold out to corporate mega giant "Unilever."

Before their site becomes corrupted, I thought you might enjoy visiting
the Ben and Jerry "2Twisted Ice Cream" site:
http://www.benjerry.com/

"Ben & Jerry's - Vermont's Finest Ice Cream, Frozen Yogurt and Sorbet."

The 2Twisted Ice Cream site is a fun site for all ages. Not only is
there lot's of fun stuff here, you can send e-cards, subscribe to a
newsletter, learn about all the cool flavors of today and yesteryear,
do research on the company and much more...

Ben and Jerry's have always been a politically and social conscious
company and a giving company as well. "Ben & Jerry's Foundation was
established in 1985 through a donation of stock in Ben & Jerry's
Homemade, Inc. These funds are used as an endowment. In addition, Ben &
Jerry's Homemade, Inc. makes quarterly donations at its board's
discretion of approximately 7.5% of its pre-tax profits. The Foundation
receives a portion of these funds. (An additional portion is earmarked
for the employee-led Community Action Teams. The CATs distribute small
grants to community groups within the state of Vermont."

I fear all of this will lost on Unilever.
