   Because of the way that the underlying software is built, it's not
   hard for us to add formats at the OAI server level, but what does
   require significant additional effort is constructing an interface for
   defining the desired OAI format and laying out how that maps to the
   local schema.

   We are thinking of adding a "native" OAI format, that uses the local
   schema as a base for the OAI format.  Would that work for you?  Or is
   there a pre-existing OAI format to which you'd like to map your data?
