[SPT/CWIS] SPT in italian

Hi, i'm an italian librarian, new to SPT and to these kinds of software, so forgive if my questions will be elementary and simple. I'm testing SPT in order to organize our links collection dealing both with local and general topics, and I would like to know how i can translate the end user pages in italian. I tried to translate what was between > < in HTML pages, without any visible effect. I do not have administrator access to the database server and to the SPT directory, so anytime i translate i have to send the files to the administrator, so that he can put in the right place. What should I do to manage the translation in the right and effective way?

PS I read all the posts in the archive, apart from November 06, but i didn't find what i was looking for.
