[SPTUsers] SPT Search results

It doesn't appear that SPT search results are being ranked.  Is this true?
I would expect that the first result returned from a search would for
example have more occurrences of the word that was searched for.  Also
documents further down the list would have less occurrences. 

If the word shows up in the title (or other field) section is it somehow
moved up in the results list?  
What if a search was preformed with multiple words?  
Does a result that has both words cause it to bubble to the top?  
Or if both words show up in a document next to each other does it bubble
further to the top?

It doesn't appear that this is happening but I am not sure that I am correct
in my assessment.  This functionality would be a huge benefit.  I am using
SPT 1.1.2.
