[SPTUsers] Response time

[Wakefield, Beth USA Contractor]

We are experiencing slow response time in SPT. We don't seem to be
having any problems with the search and retrieve function, only with the
edit function.  To give you some background information, our database
has 3230 records, 1745 controlled names, and 160 classifications. The
following are the results from a QA test completed today.

Delete record:  42 sec.
Add More Classification: 32-38 sec.
Search Classification: < 1 sec.
Assign Classification: < 1 sec.
Update Resource Record:  35 sec.
Add More Publishers: 35 sec.
Add More Authors: 35 sec

If we to do these operations in one record it would take over a minute
to create each record. Is this normal and what can we do to increase the
response time in the toolkit.
