[SPTUsers] problems uploading files

Hello,

I have a relatively new SPT installation and I am still ironing out the permissions issues. At least I think this it what this is. I want to upload a jpg to replace the standard SPT logo, and when I indicate a file on my local hard drive or floppy, there are no problems. However, when I try replacing the logo with a file on the network somewhere, I get this error message: "Logo graphics file is in an unsupported format." Obviously the format is not the problem: is it permissions?

I have tried retrieving files the following ways: using the UNC of a file to access from a remote machine upon which I have access; accessing on a webserver via a URL; and creating a local mount point for a shared directory on a remote machine and using the linux convention of indicating the file (/mountpoint/filename.jpg).

Any help would be appreciated!
