[SPTUsers] Strange Behavior

I am experiencing some very strange behavior since installing SPT-1.1.1 
on a Mac OSX v 10.1.4 server running php v 4.2.2 and MySQL v 3.23.51.  I 
previously wrote about the problem with the sptadmin account.  Not only 
haven't I completely corrected that problem, but now when I do try to 
log in as the administrator or a user, it will take about 5 -7 or more 
tries before the login takes place (just keeps returning to the login 
page).  Then when I am logged in with administrative privileges, I 
cannot add news items!!!!  The only buttons that show up are Preview and 
Cancel.  When I click on the Preview, everything in the fields is gone 
and I'm back to the same page (entry).

I'm at a loss as to what is the problem.  Has anyone else experienced 
this type of behavior?  If  so, what is the cause and how do I correct 
it.  I really can't use this program if this type of behavior occurs--it 
will be extremely discouraging to the user and since all of the admin 
functions don't seem to work, it will be a waste of time.

As with most of these types of problems, it is probably something that I 
have forgotten to do.  So, any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks 
in advance.
