[SPTUsers] Classifications and Sub-Classifications?

Hello SPT Users,
    I've been doing a lot of data entry work and learning more about SPT 
as I put in the time to add resources to SPT. I have been able to create 
Classifications using the Add/Edit Classifications feature in the 
Metadata Tool. However, I've been stumped when it comes to adding 
sub-classifications under a major classification. The parenthetical 
instructions under Add Classification say "browse hierarchy to add or 
edit classifications at other levels" but I've been unable to 
operationalize this guideline, consequently all my classifications are 
at the same level. I must be missing something about how this proceure 
works.
     Have others successfully added sub-classifications? Please explain 
the steps for creating a classification hierarchy within SPT.
