Antarctic Meteorology Online from the British Antarctic Survey

The Antarctic Meteorology Online Web site is provided by the British Antarctic Survey and the Natural Environment Research Council. Visitors will find weather reports provided by the dozens of stations located in the Antarctic. The Web master has made these data accessible by each specific station; by a clickable map; by a list of all land, ship, or buoy stations; or by an oracle database...

Global Annual Freezing and Thawing Indices

The National Snow and Ice Data Center provide these data showing the "cumulative number of degree-days when air temperatures are below and above zero degrees Celsius." Two data files, one each for the freezing and thaw data, and a readme file are available. A Fortran program is provided in the data documentation to read the data that are in flat binary format.
