View Resource Fast Fourier Transform in the West (FFTW)

Despite its curious name, Fast Fourier Transform in the West (FFTW) is a powerful, free "C subroutine library for computing the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) in one or more dimensions, of both real and complex data, and of arbitrary input size." Developed by researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, FFTW purportedly has outstanding performance when compared with other DFT...

View Resource National Geodetic Survey Equations for Transforming ITRF97 Positional Coordinates

This page, posted October 23, 2000, lists equations for transforming ITRF97 positional coordinates (XI, YI, ZI) at a specified epoch date (denoted t) to their corresponding NAD 83 values (XN, YN, ZN) at this same epoch date and gives a short explanation with hypertext references. Both the United States' National Geodetic Survey and Canada's Geodetic Survey Division have adopted the equations.

View Resource Requirements for High Performance Computing for Lattice QCD: Report of the ECFA Working Panel

Cern has recently posted this new preprint. The publication is a report prepared for the European Committee for Future Accelerators (ECFA) containing an assessment and future plans for high performance computers in the field of lattice theory. Topics covered include hadronic spectroscopy, thermodynamics, quark masses, non-OCD physics, and algorithms and computing technology required for high...
