In recent years, there has been a growing concern about the consumption of various resources (both renewable and non-renewable) throughout the world and the amount of land required to support these resource demands. Based on a complex calculus of elements, this is referred to as an ecological "footprint". The Redefining Progress organization has created this very educational online quiz that allows individuals to learn how large their ecological "footprint" is, based on 15 questions about their personal lifestyle habits. After responding to these questions, visitors will be able to compare their ecological footprint to what other people use around the globe. The information provided will help create discussion for persons interested in this subject, and also serve as a frame for looking at ways in which people may be able to effectively reduce their ecological footprint.
