Illustrated with charts, tables, and photographs the work covers basic information (such as "What is a landslide?") and information on how to evaluate landslide hazards and landslide mitigation techniques for residences and businesses. The hope is that this handbook will also help "homeowners, community and emergency managers, and decision makers to take the positive step of encourage awareness of available options and recourse in regard to landslide hazard."
