Science in Focus: Force and Motion

How do young people learn about key scientific principles and processes? There are certainly a range of ways to do this and this series from the Annenberg Media website is a great resource for science educators. This series, produced by the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, contains eight episodes. The titles of the episodes include "When Rubber Meets the Road," "On a Roll," "Drag Races," and "Making an Impact." The topics covered here include air resistance, magnetism, gravity, and the relationships among motion, force, size, mass, and speed. The site also includes detailed descriptions of each program and complementary materials such as classroom activities, quizzes, and worksheets.
