Archive for Sexology

The "open access" Archive for Sexology was founded in 1994 under the auspices of the Robert Koch-Institut in Berlin "to promote, protect, and preserve sexual health." Today, the Archive offers sexual health information in 15 languages and is run as a private, independent resource. It contains a large online library related to sexual health, a complete curriculum of six courses (six semesters) in sexual health for graduate and undergraduate study, and a history of sexology. The history section includes information about the theoretical foundations of sexology, a chronology of sex research, and brief biographies on the pioneers of sexology. Additionally, the archive maintains an extensive worldwide directory of relevant organizations, resource centers, training programs, and journals.
