Description and Identification of American Black Duck, Mallard, and Hybrid Wing Plumage

The Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center has posted online three more biological resources. This paper, by Ronald E. Kirby and others, is based on a recent (2000) US Geological Survey publication and offers a key for identifying wings of hybrids between American Black Ducks and Mallards.
