Fate and Effects of Barium and Radium-Rich Fluid Emissions from Hydrocarbon Seeps on the Benthic Habitats of the Gulf of Mexico Offshore Louisiana

The Coastal Marine Institute of the US Department of the Interior's Minerals Management Service (MMS) has recently released this report on naturally occurring barium and radium-rich fluid emissions from hydrocarbon seeps. The report assesses how processing these minerals affects the offshore habitats in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. Data include isotopic values and elemental concentrations in benthic molluscs. The .pdf-formatted file is quite large, so it may take some users a while to download.
