National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Education: Oceans and Coasts

Created as a section of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Educational Resources page, Oceans and Coasts provides an annotated listing of NOAA's educational resources related to all aspects of marine life and ecology. The page lists approximately a dozen sites primarily aimed at the elementary and secondary school levels. Each site takes a slightly different focus, offering a wide variety of resources ranging from bilingual coloring books (Hawaiian-English) to satellite communications connecting students to the ship Townsend Cromwell. Both students and educators professing an interest in ocean-related topics will find a number of wonderful, high-quality sites herein, all created and developed by NOAA to improve understanding about the intricate role that oceans continue to play in the world today.
