FTP or not FTP? That is the Question: How to Drive the Information Highway With an Eighteenth Wheeler

In this article Jack Solock, Special Librarian for InterNIC Net Scout Services, discusses the benefits of FTP (File Transfer Protocol) as a means of information sharing. While sometimes tricky to use, Solock argues, FTP sites bring with them advantages that Web pages do not.
