Carmen started at Scout while she was completing her MA in Educational Policy Studies, and is currently pursuing her teaching certification. She spends more time than she probably should investigating etymologies, agonizing over sentence structure, and wincing at misplaced apostrophes. In her spare time, she proofreads the online journal Transformative Works and Cultures for fun. She enjoys hiking while listening to public domain audiobooks, cooking vegan feasts, trying new varieties of scotch, and learning at least one totally new thing each day.
