NISOD Online Student Support Symposium

The Online Student Support Symposium is designed for practitioners who support community and technical college students. The Symposium will provide an opportunity to learn best practices from leaders in the field and engage with other professionals committed to supporting students. Specific presentation topics and descriptions will be available shortly.

The event runs from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm CT on June 24, 2020. This symposium includes sessions on the following topics: Choice Architecture for Elephants: How Nudges Work at UACCB; Using Student Support Services to Support Underprepared Students; It’s a Family Affair: Bridging Student and Academic Affairs to Enhance Student Success; What Do I Do Now: Using a Culture of Care to Address Concerning Student Behaviors; and Mental Health and How It has an Impact on Education.

Participation for those who register before June 12, 2020 is $199 for NISOD members and $249 for non-members. For those who register after June 12, 2020 the cost of attendance is $249 for NISOD members and $299 for non-members. The purchase of an Individual Registration provides access to the live online presentations, as well as archived recordings. Those interested in attending can register to participate here.
