ALA Virtual - Community Through Connection

Wednesday, June 24th, 2020 - 12:00am to Thursday, May 9th, 2024 - 11:58am

In absence of their annual in-person conference, the American Library Association (ALA) will hold an online event with educational programming, special author events, and social networking. The ALA invites attendees to "join us in this virtual space as we learn, grow, and most importantly, lean on our fellow librarians and library workers while we adapt and evolve in these changing times."

This virtual conference will include: educational sessions available in an on-demand format, notable featured speakers, COVID-19 information for libraries, live chats with authors, live-streamed presentations, a virtual Exhibit Hall, and networking opportunities with peers via social activities. The webiste also features a full schedule for the conference.

The online event is scheduled to take place June 24-26, 2020. Registration is open until June 17, 2020 and the cost of attendance for ALA members is $60. To learn more about registering to attend, visit the ALA Virtual registration page.
