The IMesh Toolkit Project was a joint effort by groups funded by JISC and the NSF to develop the IMesh Toolkit. The toolkit comprised tools and standards to support the creation and maintenance of subject specific gateways or, as we refer to them now, digital or online collections. The major participants in this effort included the UK Office for Library and Information Networking at the University of Bath in the UK, the Institute for Learning and Research Technology at the University of Bristol in the UK, and Internet Scout at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the United States.
